One of the main considerations of the investor and the architects was security. CCTV will monitor all pedestrian and vehicle access routes into the building, together with the card access system. The car park card access operates roller shutter doors for both ingress and egress - these doors being solid to prevent any visual surveillance of the premises. All routes have contact access card control clearly distinguished for residents and visitors. All doors on staircases leading to tenants areas have contact access card readers installed. Intrusion (motion) detectors are fitted in each of the three main receptions for night-time surveillance, and tenants can either add to these systems or install their own autonomous system as appropriate.

Fire Alarm and Detection Systems

There is a modulating state microprocessor controlled fire detection system, with a comprehensive selection of heat detectors, smoke detectors, break glass units, sounder and sirens. Any alarm is first routed to the central Fire Alarm Unit, stored in the BMS Control Room and then forwarded to the Central board of the Fire Brigade. Simultaneously, an audible alarm is given in the building for the safety of the people. Both buildings are fitted with Master Key Strongboxes (Security factor number 3) for the firemen’s use even though a 24 hour security service is guaranteed (Strongboxes in accordance with level three of the Security Rules).
